Commitment & Transparency Pledges

At DroneGuard, protecting personal privacy is integral to every flight we launch. Our drones gather only the data required to fulfill a user‑initiated emergency request or to comply with a lawful public‑safety order. Live video streams in real time to the requesting user and is shared with dispatch or law‑enforcement only when the user authorizes it—or when a warrant or exigent‑circumstance order compels us. All footage is encrypted, held for a maximum of 30 days, and then automatically deleted unless preserved by court order or at the user’s request.

We never monetize or repurpose imagery for marketing, facial‑recognition training, or third‑party analytics. Every flight is logged with time, route, purpose, and retention status, and those anonymized logs feed our quarterly transparency reports, audited by an independent Community Oversight Board. By coupling rapid aerial response with rigorous privacy safeguards, DroneGuard delivers safety when it matters most—without compromising the civil liberties we are sworn to respect.

Key Transparency & Public‑Trust Pledges

  1. User‑Directed Data Sharing

    • Live video and telemetry remain private by default.

    • Emergency responders see the feed only when the user toggles “Share with 911/dispatch.”

  2. Consent‑Based Emergency Alerts

    • The app always asks “Alert responders now?”—no silent or automatic notifications.

    • Users can raise or lower the alert level at any point during a mission.

  3. Open Flight Ledger & Quarterly Reports

    • Anonymized mission logs are published quarterly.

    • A Community Oversight Board randomly audits flights for civil‑liberties compliance.

  4. “Were You Recorded?” Review Program

    • Email privacy@droneguard.ai with date, time, and location; we confirm within 72 hours and, when lawful, provide a water‑marked clip or written assurance that no footage exists.

  5. Drone Verification Hotline

    • Unsure if a hovering drone is ours? Call 1‑855‑DG‑VERIFY (24/7) for instant confirmation.

  6. Strict 30‑Day Data Limit & No Secondary Use

    • Footage self‑deletes after 30 days unless under legal hold or user retention request.

    • No marketing, biometric profiling, or data resale—ever.

  7. Government Collaboration Without Overreach

    • We assist public‑safety agencies strictly within the scope of the user’s request or a valid legal mandate, ensuring community safety while honoring individual rights.

We built DroneGuard to close the gap between emergencies and response. Our mission is to make safety accessible, real-time, and intelligent—empowering people, businesses and first responders with unmatched aerial support.
